Ryan & I have been pretty busy with doctors appointments lately you know, since we turned 105 this year. He recently underwent another surgery. I still think it's nuts that we have to travel to appointments. Flights, hotels, rental cars, the whole shebang. After the trip to Seattle for his visit with the oncologist, yep 10 days after we got home from Seattle we left to Anchorage for the actual surgery. I am obsessed with this city. Since we have been living in Fairbanks have been able to travel to Anchorage multiple times for appointments and to visit family. My number one favorite place is of course the beach, we made a point to see every day while we were there. This time we went to a new restaurant Glacier Brewhouse thanks to Megan. Honestly? Amazing! I would have licked my plate if it wasn't stock full of other people I try to keep it civilized sometimes.

If you ever hit up Anchorage I would
highly recommend this place. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna with the
"Fresh Catch" which happened to be yellow fin tuna. Ryan ordered the Ginger-Pepper Crusted Alaskan Cod I couldn't tell you how that was if you get my drift. We both decided to get a little crazy and order our own desserts and they both were mouth watering. I highly doubt anything on their menu wouldn't taste good. We also enjoyed our love affair with frozen yogurt at Menchies, need I say more? I'm still kicking myself for leaving the DSLR in the hotel room when we went to the beach. Trust that I didn't make that mistake again. We really did enjoy ourselves on this trip. We did some thrifting, exploring and lots of eating. But seriously you guys, this was a nice break from the norm oh and the fact that it was 15 degrees warmer than Fairbanks was a plus. Ryan's surgery went well also. So all in all? It was a big fat win.
